Learning how to make better coffee at home has been one of my lockdown hobbies. Started with just a simple aeropress, and now I'm going down the rabbit hole of espresso and learning how to grind, how to distribute and tamp correctly and how the end result tastes if you get certain things right or wrong.
What's Bernds coffee setup at home?
What kind of coffee do you enjoy? Is bernd a V60 drinking hipster or getting by on instant?
Can you tell the difference in taste between different beans and roasts?

I never drank coffee even once in my entire 24 years of life.

I'm not really a coffee connoisseur even though I love to drink coffee (but I reduced my intake immensely, down to only two cups in the morning if I'm just staying at home ).
I use a French press. I buy whole beans and grind them with an electric grinder. Beans are nothing special either, not the cheapest, but also not the expensive exotic coffee hipster shit from a roastery where people with colored hair and veganism work.

My daily dose is 3-4 cups. Making it in Cezve whole my life.
Water does matter, type of heat producer you use to boil does matter too.
Continuing to boil coffee after it already boiled with a small pause doesn't really change anything.
I can distinguish coffee from different continents, but can't say from what particular county it came.
My favorite is St Helena and El Salvador. Sometimes I mix it with Robusta to make it stronger, 1/4 would do the trick.
Have tried French press, syphon and that alternative shit, but I think it's only good for impressing females in the morning.
Real men should drink it dark and not sweet, to embrace the darkness and misery of the life itself.

i like a rough coffee

A man of coffee culture I see

I like local coffee, especially from this province, I prefer it to varieties from other countries.
I use an Italian coffee maker to make highly strong coffee.

I buy the highest caffeine content with a good flavour to get my heart pounding.
Only french presses for me and if nothing else is available, I'll use my sturdy cooking pot.
Instant coffee drinkers deserve the rope.

I prefer turkish covfefe

Such soul. Do you brew it in one of those hot sand things? Or just on the stove?
Also does it not get very bitter if you grind it that finely and then brew for a minute or two? If that were an espresso it'd be absolutely disgusting and likely choke your machine.
And how do you avoid drinking all the coffee grounds?

Like a moka pot? Do you get special beans that are different from what gets exported?

It's one of pic related, I think that yes, it's the same as a Moka pot.
I get the same kind of beans that get exported, I believe.
