For the second month I eat exclusively food that I cooked in steam. I began to feel the taste of food much brighter. But mainly point there was a huge amount of time that used to be spent on cooking. But now cooking process looks like this: take out a plate for (1 min), pour out the main dish (rice, pasta, buckwheat, potatoes, frozen vegetables, etc.) for (1 min), add a side dish for (1 min) (I store mushrooms , meat and fish in the freezer (naturally without bones)), turn on 30 minutes and go about your business. It is especially good to come after work, pour the food you need on a plate, go to the shower, and when I return I have my food ready.

>>117018 I cannot say that I will completely give up alcohol. But now my goal is a bottle of Spanish wine a month, not three liters of beer a week, as it is now. In principle, I already have progress, because three months ago I drank about 10 liters a week. Now I want not to drink at all, until the end of July. I think I can handle it.

>>117018 I'll sign up for the gym in three weeks. Now I'm preparing my body by adding strength loads and jogging along the lake. So far, the loads are funny, but after the last three years of self-destruction, I am honestly surprised that my body can at least do this. Are gyms open in your state? One russian streamer from the states got fat when US had the first wave of coronashizo and all the gym's were closed

>>117023 Not more than 7 km / h. I'm still 95kg fat (not 105 of course like three months ago). But I don't want to hurt my joints. In fuct running is still hard to my fatass . I think if I just walk in the forest-park every weekend, then running will become easier.

Good thread! Motivation is the single most important tool for change and adaption to hardship. For me, I'm 80 days into giving up vaping. Vaped for about 10 years and smoked for ~7 before that. Pointless thing to do and mostly made everything more laborious to plan and look out to. The craving is still there though... Also doing my bench and overheda press day today. 5x5 87,5kg bp and 57,5kg ohp. Soon at a milestone once again, this time there is no sickness or Thailand holiday that could break my routine to 100kg bp / 60kg ohp. I should do more biking for weight loss though. Luckily my next job will come with a nice walk to and from my office, so that's 2x 30 minutes of brisk walking 5 times a week with biking to be done on the weekend. >>117018 Hang in there mate, the best day to quit was yesterday, the second best day is today. So make that 2 days and one day... or you get what I mean.

>>117033 Quit smoking by myself. Now I am able to imagine this pleasure. Previously, constant stress demanded unloading in the form of alcohol and cigarettes. Yes, now I began to waste less of both. But this is still not zero cigarettes and 1 bottle of wine a month.
Bernd 2021-07-05 21:56:56 ⋅ 2mn No. 117041
I quit drinking alcohol at all last summer together with quitting some of my other worst lifestyle habits such as ordering food every day or drinking 3 red bulls and playing video games instead of sleeping. After one year I lost 12kg without doing any sport and my skin is much cleaner - I look better.

>>117036 I'd say 1 bottle of wine each month counts as being just a connoisseur of fine wines. With cigarettes, I never understood how people could smoke less, but not quit, it's the worst from both worlds. >>117041 That fucking skin mane, I swear I don't know why but recently I'm having bad acne again like if I was 15... Already taking supps, giving meself a chemical peeling every few weeks, trying to keep the pillow sheet somewhat fresh (~1 week max), no energy drinks, no Verdünnungssaft, no chocolate, no nothing and some other things. I blame my new jerb I started a few months ago and already quit again, due to the office being just too small and not even having anything other then one little towel for the whole staff to dry themselves.

Maybe it's the masks chaffing against my sensitive face skin, maybe it's the lack of a real, enjoyable holiday combined with 1,5 years of being in some kind of alert state while feeling nothing but powerlessness and growing hatred and fear that I will never ever enjoy a real holiday ever again. I guess I just need to unload all my frustration into a exotic Thais butt... I hate it here.

This also really helped me out losing weight. 2-3 cups of green tea work great as a natural and healthy appetite suppressant.

>>117022 I would NOT recommend being gym-dependent. Gyms are good and very helpful if it's run as a social place, if it's lads having a club and going there to lift together. Helps build comradeship. Gyms in consumer culture mindset offer you none of that, you're better off training yourself than sharing an overpriced service with a bunch of strangers who fell for the same grift. If you don't know how you could do weight training without real weights (since you can't afford, don't have space, or whatever excuse why you can't build a home gym – understandable) look up Eric Bugenhagen's suggestions. He has a couple "zero equipment" videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-s4FpqE0Nw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53eRCJ0lcvg >>117253 >>117256 >>117259 Cooming too much is certainly bad, it fucks up your mood, hormones and shit, optimal is about once a week (which also happens to be about the frequency which I've observed when nofapping for 6 months that my body reached with unassisted nocturnal emissions). Most importantly cooming lowers your cortisol levels, and no wonder, after excessive cooming you will feel burned out and lacking enthusiasm – same as the symptoms of adrenal failure when your body cannot make enough cortisol (see also: Addison’s disease for extreme example). Just gonna head for a short run btw. Running around Bohinj lake, it's about 10km.

>>117317 Idk. Personally I found that it's much easier for me to get motivated when I don't coom as much, but if you don't have a problem with that, can't say you'd notice the difference. 5/weekly isn't too much either way (only when you go into more than once daily regularly, it becomes bad for your prostate)
