Hello my fellow Bernds, long time no fucking see. The last time I visited my favourite imageboard was 2014 and then... there's been some happenings apparantly (ebin). Anyways, I've come to talk to you not about the imageboard itself, fellow turks, germans, nigerians and russians (in that order yes). What I'm about to start talking about is... NORDSTREAM 2 / СЕВЕРНЫЙ ПОТОК 2 . You see, recently I had a very interesting discussion with one of the directors of one of the biggest government owned resource managing institutions in Russia. Its primary function is research but they also do lots of other stuff... Anyways! This guy - a director - when I asked him about Nord Stream 2 (it wasn't even a direct question, just a part of bigger conversation about natural resources, gold, platinum, O&G etc) he said this: "Nord Stream is practically 100% finished and it will start functioning this october despite regulations. There's literally no other option because Germany and Europe in general is running low on gas (running at 80% of needed supply levels) and (!) germans don't want to freeze to death this winter. So you know... They don't give a fuck about anyone else, they will let Nordstream 2 run and they'll do it ASAP". I gotta say, even tho I have huge respect to this man and he really is an incredibly smart guy, a scientist with a looong history... I doubt his words. Especially the "germans don't want to freeze to death this winter" part. And it wasn't even official statement for the press or anything. We just had this friendly convo and think he was just being honest but... I'm no director, no businessman or anything. Just a researcher. I was just lucky to have this meeting with him. Not showing off here or anything. But since it's such a hot topic these days and my country's future basically depends on this goddamn pipeline (because we russians live in a big gas station, you might already know that)... I'm really curious what actual germans think. Or turks. Or nigerians. Or whatever the fuck is left of Germany these days anyways.

Haven't visited Krautchan for a long time either, just found out that it went down. About gas prices. The picture i added is the chart for natural gas price Futures for November 2021. As you can tell shit went through the roof and i agree with what your guy told you 100%. Part of the reason is that since prices rose all year nobody wanted to fill up gas storage and now it's at the 80% mark required for winter and people are caught with their pants down. You have to realize, that our nutjob politicians decided, that it'd be a good idea to get rid of Nuclear, Coal and Oil as Energy sources. Instead an industrialized country like germany is supposed to rely on wind and solar energy (even though during winter there's no solar energy to be had here). So basically they got rid of all reliable and affordable energy sources. At the same time you now have to buy CO2 certificates for heating your house, which hits Oil heaters twice as hard as Gas heaters. At the same time they started subsidizing Hybrid and Electrical cars big time and people are already talking about electrifying heating. I have no idea where all the energy required for all of that is supposed to come from during winter when there is no sun and little wind. Anyway, full disclosure: I bought a bunch of Gazprom stock a while ago since to me it seems like electricity from natural gas is reliable and emits the least CO2, so that's what our dumbass politicians will jump at once the bill for all of that nonsense comes due. Other than that i disagree with you that Russia's future relies on NS2. There's still the pipelines over poland/ukraine that should suffice for europe. Also China is as energy hungry as ever and the Power of Siberia Pipeline has been in operation since 2019. However what happens to gas prices in the short term depends on how cold the coming winter is going to be. If it is a mild one then prices will come down again, however if this winter is a cold one then Gazprom is going to print.

>>122742 that's pretty ebin >>122744 danke, friend fucking greenpeace I swear all the "green" climate changers are basically just anarcho-communists trying to undermine global economic (capitalistic) system by effectively destroying O&G industries around the world And seems like they had great success in Germany All the Putin's friends have never been happier

>>122745 Personally i think those commie politicians wouldn't be as much of a problem if people here weren't too fat and prosperous for their own good. Most Germans that alive now haven't witnessed a proper economic crisis like the great depression/hyperinflation and never had to go through war, so their temper is child-like. Because of that they vote for whatever FEELS right instead of what is realistically possible. Russians still remember the political upheavals of the 90s and want stability above all else, so they vote conservatively.

>>122783 >>122788 "voting" is literally just a tally so that politicians can avoid needless fighting in the street. Just counting who has more goons at disposal is better than only figuring out you don't have enough support once you're getting massacred by the opponent's death squads. Of course, this only works if majority of people actually have balls and would go out and support their side. Otherwise you can get away with rigging everything and "voting" is reduced to a ritual.
