>China is more a civilization than a nation. China is a state that encompasses several different cultures that all fall under the umbrella of "chinese". But chinese is an identity in the same way "western" is an identity, it's an umbrella term that encompasses a number of nationalities and ethnicities. that's a totally womao bullshit. the China were very much a colonial and slave state as Roman empire. Even today All of the Chinese posesions in inner Asia were colonies, just like colonies of French Algeria or Italian north Africa. The Tibet and the East Turkistan were organized into administrative colonies branded as "autonomous regions", the sovereignty of their territories ultimately rested in the hands of foreigners from Beijing. The peoples living in those places were never equaled to the Chinese while never being Real citizens with their own identity but colonial subjects of the state named Central Empire that dominated them. Their national culture and identity were systematically suppressed and annihilated by the foreigners, and the discourse of writing history was controlled in the hand of the Chinese through dictatorship apparatus of Chinese Communist Party. It doesn't matter that they were nominal chinese citizens because at the end of the day they had no incidence in chinese state matters. Why weren't Tibet or East Turkistan colonies not filled with Chinese yet, even the Communist party had sent massive troops of chinese soldiers stationed there? because they were either already highly populated by the time they were conquered by chinese, or unsuitable for Chinese lifestyle. but this does not negate the fact that the territory was politically and economically dominated by Chinese in a very direct and colonialist way. >Korea was by definition a colonial posession, it was politicaly, economicaly, and militarily controlled by Japan. It doesn't matter that they were japanese citizens because at the end of the day they had no incidence in Japanese state matters (only the japanese did. The Japanese state also clearly favored the japanese ethnicity over koreans, this is so clearly seen in the fact that the Japan did not even let them in their army, and forcibly sent them to Japan to work menial jobs. This is an outright lies you made up. Japan is a multi-ethnic country with equal citizenship. Koreans have the same right to be elected and vote as the Yamato people. If you know even a little bit about history, you should know that there were a large number of Korean representatives in the Diet and a large number of Korean soldiers and generals in the Japanese army. in fact Japan is more a civilization than a nation. Japan is a state that encompasses several different cultures that all fall under the umbrella of "Japanese". But Japanese is an identity in the same way "western" is an identity, it's an umbrella term that encompasses a number of nationalities and ethnicities, including ethnicity of Han and Korean. Therefore saying Japan annexed Korea is a pretty stupid claim because nations are not static. Korea and Yamato used to be two separated nations, but finally they merged together and unified. Remember "Japanese" is umbrella term that encompasses a number of nationalities and ethnicities.

Rome not being a nation but more a civilization is also true. Likewise, all the possessions outside Italy were colonies…and same with regards to citizenship. What you're forgetting is that not even all the "Han Chinese" are a cohesive ethnic group. They're about on the level of calling all Romance-speaking Europeans (and possibly also Latin America) Romans.
