In Soviet Union there were propaganda textbooks for journalists sent, to teach them what talking points to push and how to portray certain issues, what words use, in what light describe events.
Recently, Western journalist recieved the new textbook for propaganda about China, it contains several points
- China is declining, no future
- China is getting old, and sick
- China has no youth, and what youth they have have problem
These 3 points are ringing inside every news in current articles, curious, as if by checkbook. Thats how the consensus in the mind of population is built, whats important is to make people believe this, even if reality is much different.

sooner or later the problems like that grow under the rug and you can't hide them, because they become too visible. Like you can't hide smog in the city for example and China was the capital of the most dirty air. But later China solved the problem of smog, everyone admits it even Western media.
And China did fight off poverty. The average salary in China increases, of which even Western punditc constantly say claiming that labour in China becomes too expensive, advocating need to move manufacturing to other actually poorer countries.
