Why Japanese writing in western countries and megacorporations with Japanese names are such a common trope in cyberpunk stuff if the country's population is stagnating? What's the actual chance the Japanese will rule the world with demography like this?
History knows examples when the names and cultures of extinct nations were picked up and continued by other, completely unrelated groups of peoples. Will weebs continue Japan's legacy??

since 1 in 7 humans on the earth speakd chinese, i guess it makes sense to include their characters in a cyberpunk setting
