Game - anon will go and record videos
Bernd 2022-06-09 19:03:06 ⋅ 2y No. 166003Place a cross or any other mark on the map and i will visit that place, record video there and post in this thread. Maybe i could even write Krautchan RIP somewhere where your mark will be.
Conditions - i won't go into factories with barbed wire, jails and underwater. But otherwise whole city of Ufa can be visited.

Seems like a nice hike with bridges and paved roads far away, right?
Also nice idea to get some reason to wander about.

What the hell is this Vysiachiy Kamen' (hanging rock?) thing? Is it like some ancient ruin piece?

there are few ferry crossings nearby. never knew they were there or used them, but i will record a few second clip of the trip and walking in video. like a tick-tock format but without dances and silly music. maybe'll upload on streamable
>>166067
seems like a cliff. so its like a rock hanging upon the deep. its weird that google maps has a big mark on it, as if its important or notable, yet its not. its not even that pretty or accessible. i'll go there too later
google maps is really bad when it comes to Russian cities, they have many mistakes in the numbers of buildings, they don't update the organisations and shops. if you are in Russia and using google maps, you can get lost or search for something that isn't there.

I guess you could take the bike for 30 minutes from the city edge and be all alone forever, right?

On the contrary, there are more than a million people living here. As part of my job i had to make photos of bus stops and routes leading to X-stations of one big company and it was really frustrating the ammount of people. I had to take the pictures without people's faces and it was a really hard condition, considering the bus stop is where people usually concentrate waiting for a bus.
Have to think where to post videos, since Streamable banned me for some reason, i guess for proxy but hell, i logged with legit google account.

Why do humans feel compelled to build effigies of pests?
I spotted such a thing here recently too.
During my youth we would collect those bugs, kill them with boiling water and cash them in for 2 Euros per kilo at the local municipality.

You were onto something. When i came back from this trip, i counted 10 thicks on my clothes and they all fell to the floor and started crawling towards the old soviet carpet. One of them somehow got into the bathroom and jumped on my leg. It was crazy, i cleaned the house, the carpet and the bathroom for an hour or so, and probably i will do it on repeat the next two hours, what if i missed the few and they just started crawling and rolling to bite me in me sleep.
i never step foot into the forest in this time of year ever again

That's about the only landmark I know of in Ufa, lol.
Can you go the KHL team hockey arena?
I see on the map there's also some monument to fallen in the revolution and civil war nearby (marked as "Eternal Flame"), so maybe take pics of that as well.

Here is the video and the route i took to my destination.
https://disk.yandex.ru/i/LkDSjk3beG3qVQ
most of the video is just walking through forest, and its really hard, i underestimated it. So on the map the distance can be shown simple, but when you have to go through fucking branches, hills, deadwood, high grass and weed obsuring more dead wood and branches, the falled trees sometimes are like a maze or like a fence, if you consider all this then the distance is like triple of what is shown on the map. i didn't take that into account thinking its going to be simple

i probably won't be making any forest related adventures any time soon, so the hanging rock and the river side white cliffs can wait.

Those fucking bloodsuckers! I contracted Lyme disease myself one time from playing airsoft outdoors and have to consider myself lucky that the red ring of death showed itself to signal it.
Maybe it's the increased wetness around the river that makes them accumulate there more, sorry for sending you into tick county.
I hope you had a nice hike anyway overall.

yeah, the hike was nice i wanted to go to some place like that anyway. The job eats so much time i was afraid the summer will go uneventfull with no expirience, like a blink of an eye and then its winter again.
Also, the thick count gone to 12. Two of them survived even the washing machine and were hiding in my sweater.

I thought the heat, water and the detergents would be enough to kill them in the washing machine, seems like not

Decided to go to that Vysiachiy Kamen after a while. Turns out the only trail to it was occupied by some local bydlo burning some trash in the bonfire, so i decided to not approach the local wildlife and walked to my destination by the railway. Remembering those videos of Indians and trains, i was very cautious, but also if you want to get away from the rail lines, you need to get into the woods, where ticks are. So kinda hanged by the side.

Got to the point and its what i expected. Like a cliff edge with protrubing hanging rocks, where people go to take photos. Kinda high and scary if you look down. Trees down below look small.
Also apparently its popular, because when i got there, some guy was there and as soon as i arrived he fucked off, and when i took some photos and started going away, another couple of people came by. These rocks bound to collapse someday from all the visitors and rain.

Also, turns out there are AI applications and sites that allow to identify plants, simply by uploading the photo of said plant - some of them completelly free. I've been walking a lot outside recently, just snapping photos of plants and learning their names and where they come from
